New York “Queer Rising” the Transgender Expression is NOT an Embarrassment!

Kat over at Enda Blog is righteously “fucking mad” that New York gay’s are continuing to  place Marriage equality over GENDA.

I couldn’t agree more with Kat on that count but what makes me really “fucking mad” is a that queer rising, a New York Gay advocacy organization is using Rupaul’s misappropriated brand trying to embarrass their opponents with MY transgender expression.

Ok, you’re thinking, so maybe Queer Rising has a history of transgender activism and being populated by trans people this transgression might not seem as offensive. Viewing the video of past actions I see no obviously trans peeps so we’ll dig a little deeper, there still might be some trans in the woodpile.

Well, Queer Rising’s Facebook page and web page listing past actions doesn’t have anything in support of the most vulnerable of our community, inner city transgender people. Neither does Queer Rising cofounder Natasha Dillon Twitter account nor does Queer Rising.

But Queer Rising’s Tweeter stream overflows with tweets by gay people celebrating Queers Rising dehumanizing of transgender people for GAY MARRIAGE!

Queer Rising WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? TAKE THE “T” OUT OF YOUR NAME! you have done nothing to earn it

So, I painted myself into a corner you think defending RuPual of all people!

Number 1. RuPaul is a transphobic cisgender gay pig who’s monetarily capitalizing on the transgender expression which tragically simultaneously assimulates our expression. (we got him, like it or not)
Number 2. That said, drag does fall under the transgender umbrella as much as I don’t like it and you’re using it to denigrate our expression is an attack on our physical welfare.

I got a better idea! Why don’t we place your senatorial opponents on top of your gay fist and humiliate him with the idea HE MIGHT BE GAY? *GASP* Just leave transgender expression and identity alone.  I’ll tell you why.

You are gay and lesbian misogynist and did not want to denigrate the gay experience. Becuse transgender people are easily accessible less respected minority EVERYONE can laugh at, one that gay people feel they have some claim to. YOU USED US!

We are not less than you, damn it.

Petition Ask Bishop Robinson Not To Attend The Dallas Black Tie 2008

WE, a coalition of gender diverse people who identify as Transgender or Intersex people (including people who are also known as transgender, transsexual, intersex, and several other terms used to classify people based on being born with a condition where the gender of their mind, psyche, or soul differs from their anatomical sex at birth, or, their anatomical sex at birth was ambiguous) hereby ask that you do not lend religious credence to HRC’s discriminatory and violence enabling agenda by attending or accepting the Elizabeth Birch award at the Dallas Black Tie 2008.

We hereby petition The Right Reverend Gene Robinson, Bishop of the Diocese of New Hampshire, to not attend the Black Tie Dinner Dallas Texas on November 22, 2008.

It is the belief of the signers that the discriminatory policies of the main benefactor of the Dallas Black Tie, the (HRC) Human Rights Campaign, propagates violence against all of Womankind, Intersexed and gender diverse to include but not inclusive of, Transgender Men, effeminate gay men, masculine presenting Woman, Natal Woman and Transgender Woman.

It has been documented that gender discrimination has placed the United States among the leaders of gender bigotry world wide. Sexual Violence is enabled by a conception of the perpetrator that the consequences of rape and murder committed against the gender diverse is minimal or non existent.

This perceived vulnerability in the United States recently was reinforce by HRC’s inexplicable and morally reprehensible betrayal as the self proclaimed advocate of the of the gender diverse during the ENDA debacle of 2007.

HRC’s position, which has not been amended constitutes a daily reinforcement of this horrific policy.

It begs a question in these days of failing church attendance and disconnect, what can people of faith do to help?

By your not attending, Bishop Robinson, you will signal loudly to HRC that policies which are beneficial solely because of monetary gains and political expediency at the expense of the most vulnerable, are not acceptable.

By your not attending you will elevate the Anglicans standing in the eyes of the GLBT community and the entire world.

By your not attending you will contribute to the fight against violence transmitted AIDS/HIV and other STDs.

By your not attending the self esteem of the gender diverse will rise and the need to validate by risky sex will decrease.

By your not attending, those who have been cast aside by their faith will be given a ray of hope.

By not attending you will signal lawmakers to take courage and follow their moral consciousness to enact laws to protect the entire Womankind, Lesbian, Gay, Intersexed, Bisexual, Asexual and Transgender community.

By your not attending the Dallas Black Tie the world’s diverse community will recognize your commitment and sigh in relief and bask in the glow of an affirmative, welcoming and loving Anglican Church.

Bishop Robinson, The weight of social progress now rests on your shoulders.

UNFOCUSED HOT HETREO MESS

Focus on the Family found itself having a westboro baptist moment after being challanged to put up or shut up.
The unconsiounable methods employed by “Focus on the Family” exposed this groups real agenda, that of espousing hate and bigotry while maintaining a facade of decency. Focus on the Family co-founder Gil Alexander-Moegerle offered a public apology for the actions of James Dobson to among many others the gay community in 1997.
http://www.ralliance.org/Alexander-Moegerle.html
The Catholic Church followed in the shadows attempting to bully and intimidate citizens and legislatures.
The Catholic Church’s demise is not not celebrated by Christians, but it is undeniable. The demands of celibacy by Rome has resulted in the Catholic clergy being saturated with pedophiles. In evidence of the decline of respect by common people of the Catholic Church is thievery of Catholic material possessions.
Unthinkable only a short time ago.
http://www.bishop-accountability.org/AbuseTracker/
The sad tale is undeniable.
Focus on the Family should concentrate on what it’s name implies.
The Catholic Church needs to discontinue it’s practice of denial and resorting to buying it’s way out of human responsibility.
Both organizations should not be concerned where we pee, for gods sake!

Stop the perversion of the transgender movement.

(Authors note. Solutions and problems are my opinion of HRC and Frank’s view point.)

In a society where controversial subjects are often ignored a disturbing new trend has manifested itself on the Transgender community. The willingness of society to except the easiest solution  at the expense of truth and honesty.

Problem. The complete political meltdown over ENDA.

Solution. Explain that due to the lack of understanding by the general public of transgender people and the associated issues a resubmission of ENDA bills would be required, one a gender exclusive bill to be submitted and one, a gender only ENDA to be submitted after transgender people could prove to Frank the votes were available to pass it. Barney Frank and HRC could solve many problems in one stroke. Frank would use his time proven transgender scape goat that since 1989 has afforded him  a group of people more different and vulnerable than just gay, excuse himself from lobbing on behalf of transgender people and HRC could simply shrug its massive shoulders and say “oh well we tried”.

The resulting out cry was unexpected and fierce. Frank and HRC were caught off guard.

Problem. The entire LGBT community had united against them(hrc and frank).

Solution. Rewrite history. Offer that due to the lack of transgender efforts to lobby and the relative newness and lack of transgender efforts at educating the public, the passage of transgender rights was impossible.  Frank exalted transgender people to come forth and educate.

Problem. The transgender people although downtrodden and dispirited by the recent events took to the call. We began a renewed effort to educate. We believed our best venue was in the HRC GALA Balls, held in many states through out the year.  In Austin Texas at the first 2008 Ball we were invited to present our Educational Initiative. We did so. We presented 8 transgender people and their allies to a extremely welcoming and empathetic HRC membership. We were elated at such a reception and were very hopeful that future GALA’s would meet with similar success.

Solution. HRC was faced with a dilemma. They could not allow transgender people unrestricted access to there membership. A plan was formulated. HRC would substitute there own people in place of transgender advocates at the next few GALA’s. So it was done. At the next GALA in Phoenix AZ. a person described on the local HRC web page as a “local hero” was employed despite the objections of transgender advocates who wished to represent themselfs.

The outcome of this course of action was increased  anger and resentment from the transgender community. We have boycotted and demonstrated HRC events.  The whole of the LGB community has taken noticed of this. HRC and Barney Frank has painted itself into a corner. The country as a whole has begun writing and enforcing gender protective laws.

Problem. Barney Frank’s home state. Massachusetts had forced the transgender population into virtual exile. It was explained years ago  to transgender people that the GLB population would help transgender people acquire equal rights after the resolution of the same sex marriage dilemma. A resolution had been reached but no movement had been initiated  to “go back for” transgender people.

Solution. HRC would ride it’s white horse gallantly into Massachusetts and give huge sums of money to a local “transgender” group.  In the case of success all accolades to HRC. In the case of failure blame could be placed on many conditions that were out of HRC’s control.

In the end America will suffer the consequence of allowing human rights to be subverted and perverted by HRC and Barney Frank. One day we all may wake to find the rights we enjoy now were a memory of the past.

Austin Texas Vigil for Lawrence King/Hear our voices

The sweet breeze brought the normal sounds of a warm Texas evening. The snow birds were singing and children playing. Above this, voices were heard. Our voices. A community brought together because of the murder of a gender variant child, by another child.

Among the people there were representatives of most state LBGT groups and even one from our congress. All had a opportunity to speak and many did. We were reminded that we have much to do to be protected under the law. We also realized how important  home life is to a maturing, impressionable young adult. If love and understanding is a way of life at home, life blossoms. If hate and bigotry is taught, a young person may live their life regretting a single mistake. And as in this case, one child will not have a chance to live life.                                                                                                                   We talked about the need for our educators to be observant of our young people, and to bring to others attention warning signs when seen. We talked of the positive results witnessed with the inclusion of gender education.

Young people testified about the good that our efforts yield by standing in front of us as adult advocates. Caring wonderful adults.

We also heard about the need to involve youth in synagogues, churches and other places of worship. It was applauded when it was said that the need for LGBT people to be included and accepted is critical now.

Now it was agreed is the time for politicians to stop trying to segregate our community. Our grass roots voice is loud and clear. Allow us to live free.

One person helped lighten the load by reminding us that darkness and despair must be left behind. We have grieved for our lost. Now is the time for joy and action. We are the voices being heard.

Lawrence King A Death In The Family

In Our busy days we rush to get to our jobs, then to get home to accomplish some tasks, then maybe to a meeting, then a quick glimpse of the evening news before sleep. All of that changed with the sound of a single gun shot. It is the shot heard around the world.

lawrence-king.jpgtransgenderprideflag.jpg

This young person was shot dead by a fellow middle school student. The Din suddenly quits. All is silent. Tears started to fall. Grief and sorrow overwhelm me. How could this be I ask god. Why our brightest star? I grieve with my fellow humans as we search for answers. Nothing but faith will save my hope. I will pray for you Lawrence. God rest your soul. You are not alone. I will pray for the boy who murdered you. He is the lost soul.
