Uganda: Amnesty International condemns attacks on LGBT June 7, 2008

On June 4, 2008 three LGBT activist were arrested after distributing a press release protesting the Uganda’s government inaction in response to the Aids Crisis. The activists have reportedly been sexually assaulted and physically harmed while in custody.
